Shirley Anne Neitzel (Lefferts) (1964)

Craig was in my classes at Cornwells Elementary. I remember him as being a very sensitive and caring guy. I recall one incident in elementary school where he had brought a bird's nest with an egg in it into the classroom. He put it up on the window sill thinking, and hoping, that the sun would possibly hatch the egg. Now this was around fourth grade. When we got in from recess one day, someone had knocked the egg onto the floor and it had broken. Craig had his head down on the desk and was very sad. My heart broke for him at the time, and I will never forget it, as you can see by this memory of Craig that I have shared. In high school I remember him as the same caring tech. guy helping out with plays and other needs around the school. He was a very nice person, and I was sorry to hear from a mutual friend at our last reunion that Craig had passed away.
