William C. Doyle, 78, of Newtown, Pa., passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he has been a longtime resident of Lower Bucks County.

Bill was a 1966 graduate of Bensalem High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era, stationed in South Korea from 1968 to 1970 as a generator operator. Bill was employed for many years as a rigger and utility construction supervisor as well as a forklift operator. After his retirement, Bill enjoyed spending time working as a Special Event Tractor Operator at Shady Brook Farms and an ice skating rink Zamboni operator at the Princeton Day School and the RiverRink at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia.

Bill was an avid NASCAR fan and a member of the Sports Car Club of America. He enjoyed collecting and working on classic cars, race cars, and go-karts, as well as fixing things around the house whenever needed, earning him the nickname "Pop-pop Fix-it" from his beloved grandchildren. Bill enjoyed live music and regularly would attend local blues and rock 'n' roll shows around Bucks County and Philadelphia. He loved traveling for music as well, visiting Memphis several times, and most recently, Clarksdale, Mississippi, the "birthplace of the blues."

Son of the late Mary Isabel (Brown) and Joseph James Doyle, and brother of the late Joseph James Doyle Jr., he is survived by his wife Celeste Thompson, his daughters Kelly (Lenard) Ranieri and Christine (Zachary) Doyle-Michaux, his grandsons Carter William and Lincoln Christopher, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Life Celebration on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Swartz Givnish Funeral Home, 323 E. Washington Ave. Newtown, Pa. 18940, where his memorial service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
