Jacklyn A. Walker (McCrimmon) - Class Of 1966

Jacklyn A. Walker (McCrimmon)

Jacklyn's Obituary

Jacklyn Ann McCrimmon (nee Walker), of Elkins Park, passed away on November, 24 2024 at the age of 76. She was the loving wife of Ramon B. McCrimmon Jr. for 47 years. Jackie was the caring mother to Michele McCrimmon, Brie Conley (Matthew), Ramon III (Shawna), Ian (Nicole), and Devon (Brittany). She will also be greatly missed by her 14 grandchildren who lovingly called her Memom: Dasaan, Jackquill, Jaden, Elle, Noah, Hannah, Luke, Ramon IV, Gavin, Walker, Owen, Isla, Skye, and Pippa.

Jackie was born in Philadelphia to the late John Walker and Gloria (nee Elder) and raised with her sister Donna. Jackie was baptized at the 12th United Presbyterian church at Ruth and Somerset Sts in Philadelphia.  She was raised in Oakford, PA, and attended Bensalem High School.  Jackie moved to Sandusky, OH for her senior year and graduated in 1966.

Jackie and Ramon met during the summer of 1976 down the shore in Cape May, NJ and quickly became inseparable. The following year, Jackie and Ramon married and moved to Elkins Park where they raised their family.

For almost 40 years, Jackie was in charge of running the storefront of the family business, Danish Bakers.  Jackie managed the store and became the social face of the business. She enjoyed putting up seasonal decorations for every holiday, and was always happy to chat with those who stopped into the bakery. She loved the people she worked with and built loyal, long-lasting relationships with her customers.

Jackie’s pride was in her family and she never missed an opportunity to tell the story of how she gave birth to identical triplet boys.  She loved taking them to their hockey games and always pointed out scenic views or beautiful buildings along the way.  She felt at peace vacationing at the Chesapeake on their boat, reading, listening to music, and spending time with her loved ones. She valued education and aspired for successful futures for her children. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out, and will be missed dearly by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jackie’s Life Celebration on December 10th, 2024 at St. Hilary’s Catholic Church (820 Susquehanna Rd, Rydal, PA 19046). Visitation from 9 AM to 10 AM with a service to follow at 10 AM; interment at Hillside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please donate a toy to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive either online or in person in Jackie’s honor.
