Shirley A. McGoldrick (Staneivezius), age 77, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, October 22, 2025, at The Manor of Orangeville, after being a patient in Geisinger Medical Center in Danville since September 28th.

Shirley was an outgoing strong woman who loved to travel and leaves behind an amazing legacy of travel and adventures.

Born May 15, 1948 in Philadelphia PA. She was the daughter to the late Charles G. Staneivezius and Mary Staneivezius (Cerankowski). She graduated from Neshaminy High School class of 1966 and was an active member of the "Chicks of 66". She married the late Francis McGoldrick on May 20th 1967.

Shirley had many different jobs over the years from bookkeeper and seamstress to working in lighthouses. Her hobbies included crocheting and flea marketing. She also lived aboard the beloved "Ariel", a 41' sailboat for about 16 years and traveled the intercoastal waterway many times throughout those years, spending time at many different areas including Jekyll Island, Georgia, Key West, Florida and Nassau Bahamas to Tullytown, PA and Philadelphia. Her and Fran also lived aboard an RV for many years traveling across the country from Washington state, California, Texas, Nevada, and more on the west coast to Florida and many locations along the way. She finally settled in Southampton, NJ for many years until she moved to Shamokin, PA with her daughter.

She is survived by her three children: Kevin and Sean McGoldrick, daughter Tina Weidenheimer, five grandchildren and multiple great-children.

The family would like to send their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for keeping her as comfortable as possible.
