James C. Dando passed away Monday, June 28, 2010, with his family by his side. He was 61.

He was the beloved husband of Mary Lou Pellegrino.

Jim was a lifelong mechanic, a Vietnam veteran and very active in PIAA.

He was a baseball umpire for 25 years and a referee for football and basketball. He was an avid baseball fan. Jim truly enjoyed the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies.

He built and re-built his '79 Chevy Malibu and raced it at MapleGrove Raceway.

He was the loving father of Deborah Renee Dando and Michelle Yocom (Jeff); grandfather of Elizabeth, Emily, and Jason; and brother to Kenneth (Sue).

Relatives and friends are invited to James' life celebration after 7 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at Dunn/Givnish of Langhorne, Gillam and Bellevue avenues. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be held privately at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
