.Dennis W. Day Sr.
Yardley - Dennis W. Day Sr., age 73, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Yardley, PA on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
He was born in Philadelphia and was a longtime Bucks County resident. Dennis was a graduate of Bensalem High School; he served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a Pipe Fitter at the Philadelphia Naval Ship Yard for many years and was a school bus driver for the Council Rock School District for over 20 years. He was a member of the VFW Post 6393. He could be found for many years selling his wares at local flea markets and participating in car shows. He loved going to Wildwood, eating crabs, and spending time on the beach. He enjoyed traveling and fishing. Dennis was an avid fan of all Philadelphia sports teams and a long-time season ticket holder of the Philadelphia Phillies.
He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Florence Day; his wife Margaret Ann (Maguire) and his son Dennis W. Day Jr. Dennis is survived by his daughter Kristy Ann Day; his step-daughters Kathleen Napoli (Vince) and Margie Towler (Brian); 9 grandchildren Ashley (Brian), Anthony, Morgan, Jocelyn, Mallory, Rachel, Shane, Joey and Tommy; his siblings Thomas (Anna Marie), Louis (Lois), Carol Hummer (Martin) and Robert (Patricia) and the mother of Kristy and Dennis, Adele Smith as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the James O. Bradley Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Bellevue Ave., Penndel, PA 19047 on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. His interment will take place in Washington Crossing National Cemetery on Tuesday April 6, 2021 at 10:30 am. Donations in Dennis' memory may be made to VFW Post 6393, 1444 Yardley-Newtown Rd., #4046, Yardley, PA 19067.
