John Dougherty - Class Of 1967

John Dougherty

John Frank Dougherty Sr. passed away Monday July 6, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at the Chandler Hall Hospice. He was 65.

John was born in Philadelphia and had been a Bucks County resident for 50 years. He enjoyed gambling in Vegas and Atlantic City, camping, and traveling, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family.

John is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Betty Jane; his six children, John Jr.

(Janet), Nicole Lawson (Dennis), Jimmy (Sandy), Steven (Kim), Jodi Gervasio (Harry), and Debbie Dougherty; his sister, Karen Hippel (Chic); his brother, Dennis Dougherty; and his two sisters-in-law,

Dianna Foester (the late Harry) and Teresa Stevens (Bob). He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and one great grandson.

Family and friends will be received from 7 to 8:30 p.m., followed by his funeral service at 8:30 p.m., on Thursday evening at the James O. Bradley Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Bellevue Ave., Penndel, Pa. 19047. Interment will be private.

Contributions in John's memory may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.James O. Bradley Funeral Home, Penndel

Joseph Schrier (1970)

john was a good friend of mine for the past 40 years. john's house was party central. volleyball,horseshoes and darts. in 1981 i went out crusing in my 1955 t-bird. i stopped by his house for a visit. he introduced me to annie stewart(BHS 1975) who was also visiting. you could say the rest is history. annie and i will celebrate our 30 year anniversary this september. john you will be missed. RIP buddy!
