Don West Sr (1967)
Ed was my Best Friend at Bensalem and at Bucks CC. He was my best man when I got married. He was smart enough to leave his MG by the back door of the Church, in case I got smart and wanted to run.I remember cruising around together, me in my Triumph Spitfire and Ed in his MG Midget.
Somehow when I arrived at Bensalem in 1964, he was just "there" waiting in the hall for me almost. He introduced himself and showed me around.
All the good times we had playing football, canteens, etc.
We were at the same lunch table for 3 years. Andy Oetzel, Harry Smith, Bill Stinger, Ed, Me, Ron Cianni, John D'Andrea and Mark Deans. We were inseparable for lunch.
It's a shame Ed died so young, he has two great Kids and now a Grandchild. He widowed Barb way too early.
His Son, Stephen, could well be "his twin". It is almost scary how much alike he is to Ed. His Daughter is Lori, he would be so proud of both.
I miss him a lot even to this day, what a great guy and friend.
All the Best My Friend.............
