RODNEY'S OBITUARY

Rodney Paul Scarborough 72 of Jacksonville, Fl passed away on 2/10/21 at Orange Park Medical Center, he was born to Floyd and Hilda Scarborough in Winchester, England.

Rodney graduated from Bensalem Township High School, was a Vietnam veteran and served in the USMC Kit Carson Scouts, receiving two purple hearts. He was an active member of the VFW in both PA and FL. He served in the FBI for three years then went into business with his Dad in the construction business.

Rodney always had a smile and joyful personality and did his best to make others laugh. He loved America and served her proudly. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, R. Granville (Bucky) and Mary Scarborough, a sister Jennifer Scarborough his Uncles Don, Dan & Robert Scarborough and Aunt Judy Whitlock.

He is survived by his Sisters Susan Barbour of PA, Millie Doriand of FL, JoAnne Jefferies of MO, Brothers, Robert Hunold of NC, Richard Hunold of MD and Larry Roberts WA and his beloved Aunt Sandy Scarborough of FL, Aunt Janet Scarborough Combs of WA, Aunt Dorothy Scarborough Albright of CA and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Rodney will be laid to rest at Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, Fl 32218 on April 19th at 2:30pm. Please proceed to Lane Two.

In lieu of flowers please donate nonperishable easy open food stuffs and toiletries to any Veteran organization homeless vet fund or VFW post 7909, 6204 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 33244.

Frank Ciaudelli (1967)

We had just air lifted 2nd Battalion 26th Marines aboard the USS Iwo Jima July 1969. I was sitting on the hanger deck on my aircraft when someone called out my name. I looked around and there was Ron. We started laughing.
Rest in Peace Ron.
