Bob Seely was a good friend of mine and one of our "small gang" living in Trevose. Most of us were class of '66 so Bob was the youngest. As we all turned 16, we joined the Trevose Volunteer Fire Company. During the early years he was a fire fighter and later became part of the fire police serving for around 25 years. Bob bought a house on Clarke Ave in Trevose within walking distance of his parents and as best as I remember, he only ever had one job, working for the water company which is where he also passed away sitting at his desk. Bob was married to Merry Seely and had a couple of children but we lost touch after 1981 when I moved to VA. I always remember him as having a calming spirit and constant smile.
Met bob when i started work for phila. surban water plant, i worked with Bob for 11 years. He was always joking around and was very funny. I will never forget Bob and Merry and his children.
I was married to Bob for 27 yrs before his passing. We had 3 wonderful children together and I still miss him. Bob would have given the shirt off his own back if someone asked for it. It has been 12 years since his death and I still meet people who tell me stories of how he affected their lives.
Left us way too soon. Bob was a great guy who served his community faithfully for many years. Was a good friend, calm, funny, and always there to help. I met my wife at Bob's house at a party. He was in our wedding, and like Wayne said, part of our small Trevose group. We had some great times together at the firehouse, and kind of all grew up together in high school. I remember his first new car a Beracuda, and how we would all ride around in it. Known as Sib to a few of us, he was a joy to be around.
