Larry Harris Obituary

Larry John Harris, 74, of Nanticoke, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, at Mountain City Nursing And Rehabilitation Center, Hazle Township.

He was born in Maryland on Oct. 21, 1950, and was the son of the late Audrey Tomshaw. Larry served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked at Proctor and Gamble for over 30 years, working on machines; and trained dogs for police service.

Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and his trips to the N.Y. State Fair. He was a kind and loving man that was always willing to offer a helping hand to those in need.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Beatrice Harris, who raised him.

Larry is survived by his wife, Blanche Turcic; several step-children and grandchildren; siblings, Michael and Steven Tomshaw, and Jeanne Moattari; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. A viewing will extend from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Kocher Cemetery, Lake Township.

In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that everyone perform an act of kindness in remembrance of Larry.
