James A. Mininger

Bucks County Courier Times

James Anthony Mininger of Langhorne passed away suddenly the morning of Sunday, March 28, 2010, in Saint Mary's Hospital, due to a recently diagnosed heart condition. He was 60.

James was born in Philadelphia, to the late Edward and Marie Arturo Mininger Sr. and was the brother of the late Edward Mininger Jr.

He was a graduate of Bensalem High School and Bucks County Technical High School, Class of 1968.

He was a lifetime member of the Plumber and Pipefitters Union 9, where he was involved in a diverse number of projects ranging from work at Tokamak fusion reactor at Princeton University, McGuire and Johnsville Airforce Base, Salem Nuclear Power Plant, New Jersey Beneficial Insect Laboratories and the Hamilton Township School District.

James was father to sons, Jim and Greg; daughter, Jill; and daughter-in-law, Jenn Satchell Mininger.

Jim was a devoted family man of endless curiosity who treasured free time reading, traveling, gardening and spending time with his family, especially his wife of 37 years, Kathleen Bakeoven Mininger.

Jim was an excellent provider whose family was never left wanting, and was as an ever-present fixture on the sideline of family events. He enthusiastically supported all of his family's endeavors allowing them to fully pursue their dreams; including seeing his son Jim as the first college graduate in either the Mininger or Bakeoven families. He will truly be missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Jim's life from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Dunn Givnish of Langhorne, Gillam and South Bellevue Avenue. Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions sent in Jim's name to the American Heart Association or the Boys and Girl Scouts of America, would be appreciated by the family. DunnGivnish Funeral Home, Langhorne

To the Family of Jimmy Mininger:
My deepest sympathy
He was a great kid & plenty of spunk, he was a lot of fun as a child when he lived as a kid in Andalusia. We all grow up & moved to different area's. He did very well in life & sending his kid to college had to be a very proud moment of his life. Kenn Hughes Next door neighbor on Clinton Ave, Andalusia.
