Richard William Eggert, cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, at the age of 74 in Tabernacle, NJ.
Richard, born on July 15, 1951, in Andalusia, Pennsylvania, was known for his steadfast commitment to family, enterprising nature, and passion for both sports and engaging with his community.
Richard spent 51 years of his life with his devoted wife, Donna Eggert (née Sennett), by his side. Together, they built a life full of lasting memories. Richard was a proud father to three wonderful children, Richard Eggert II (Ashley), Bryan Eggert (Kendra), and Erica Rossner (Wyatt).
He is also survived by two sisters, Alma Wood (Joe), and Clara Eckelmeyer; three grandchildren, Wilka, Evelyn, and Reed, who brought immense happiness and pride into his life; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Entrepreneurial Spirit and Professional Legacy
Richard's entrepreneurial journey was marked by his ownership of Eggert Fuels. Through his dedication and hard work, he built a successful business that became a cornerstone of the community. More than just a business owner, Richard formed enduring relationships with both his employees and customers, earning their respect and trust. His leadership was defined by integrity and a genuine concern for those around him, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working with him.
Richard would always help the elderly with fuel if they couldn't afford it. After retirement, he worked at Ware's Farm Supply in Tabernacle, NJ. He was a man that everyone knew, and he liked to make everyone smile.
Sharing Knowledge and Passion
He was deeply knowledgeable in many areas and always took pleasure in sharing information with those he met. Whether engaging in conversation with friends, family, or members of his community, Richard enjoyed imparting insights and sparking thoughtful discussions. His willingness to share what he knew reflected his generous spirit and genuine interest in connecting with others.
He was a former coach for Babe Ruth Baseball in Tabernacle, NJ, where he shared his love for the game and mentored young athletes. His passion for sports extended to coaching his daughter's soccer team. He was the best Horse Show Dad. Richard's love for the ocean was evident in his enjoyment of surfing, a hobby that brought him peace and joy. Additionally, he was a fixture at Medford Lanes, where he bowled for over a decade.
