Scott R. Hennigar

Wednesday, January 23rd, 1952 - Thursday, February 15th, 2024

Scott Raymond Hennigar passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the age of 72.
Born in Philadelphia to the late Florence (nee McLaughlin) and Marvin Hennigar, Scott spent most of his life living in Bensalem, Pa. He has been a resident of Boydtown, Va for the past 20 years.
At the young age of 14, Scott knew he had a passion for the outdoors and plants. At that time, he was attending Bensalem High School and Bucks County Technical High School, where he furthered his love for plants by studying Horticulture. After graduating in 1969 he began a successful career working for various local green houses, nurseries and florists, including Vattimos and Snipes just to name a few. He also worked in the maintenance department at Seafood Shanty for several years. Scott truly enjoyed working with all types of cultivation.
Scott was an all-around great care taker, not only of plants, but for his family members and animals as well. Over the years he lovingly took in countless stray dogs and gave them the love and care they deserved.
In his free time, Scott could be found sitting out in the fresh air enjoying the sun or indoors watching his favorite Sci-fi movies!
Scott was the loving brother of Mark Hennigar (Dale), Doreen Pietropoli (Richard), Marsha yates (Robert), Jill Wible (John) and the late Craig E. Hennigar. He will also be deeply missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Scott will be held in the future, please check back for updates.
