Former Levittown Resident

 

Thomas Richard Herron, Sr., age 54, passed away suddenly on Monday evening at his residence.

 

Born in Seaside Park, N.J., he was a 21 year resident of Levittown before moving to Bristol Boro two months ago. A 1969 graduate of Bensalem High School and Bucks County Technical School, he along with his son owned and operated T.R.H. Transport in Levittown, Pa. Previously, he was a long time employee of United Van Lines. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Tom was an avid NASCAR race fan and loved restoring and working on his 1969 Chevy Impala.

 

He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Pearl Herron and his recently deceased brother, Raymond.

 

He will be sadly missed by his former wife and good friend, Mary B. Regan Herron of Bristol; his children, Thomas Jr., and Christine Herron, both of Bristol; his brothers, John Herron of Las Vegas and Robert Herron of Florida; and his sister Ilene of South Carolina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog Spike.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 7-9 p.m., and Friday 9-10 a.m., at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery in Philadelphia

Carole P. Ferri (Vertz) (1969)
