Ralph Smolenak Obituary
Ralph Smolenak, 74, of Mountain Top, passed away Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital.
Born in Trevose on April 2, 1951, he was the son of the late John and Ruth (Roberts) Smolenak. He was raised and educated in the Trevose area and served in the U.S. Navy.
In the '90s, he was the vice president of the Crestwood wrestling club, while his sons were wrestling. He was an outdoorsman who greatly enjoyed hunting. He was an avid fan of all Philadelphia teams including the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and 76ers.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Kate Smolenak; children, Zachary Smolenak and wife, Kristen; Jacob Smolenak; Claire Lasoski and husband, Charles; John Paul Smolenak and wife, Kelly; and Elizabeth im Brahm and husband, Jerome; cherished grandchildren, Alexandria Smolenak; Victoria Smolenak; Chistopher Smolenak; Hannah Lasoski; Charlie Lasoski; Gemma Smolenak; Isabella Smolenak; Barrett Smolenak; and Samantha Hu and husband, Davis; and adored great-grandchildren, Eliza and Nora Hu. He also leaves behind brothers, John Smolenak, Steven Smolenak and Kenny Smolenak; sister, Debbie Dixon; brother-in-law, Joe Rolle; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Smolenak; sister, Ruthann Rolle; sister-in-law, Eileen Smolenak; brother-in-law, Ernest Dixon; and nephew, Ernie Dixon.
A celebration of life will be planned for late spring. Heller Funeral Home LLC, Nescopeck, is assisting his family.
