ANTHONY GAVELLA; RAN TREE SERVICE

Anthony "Tony" Gavella, 39, of Oakford, owner of a tree-trimming service in Bucks County, died Friday at Saint Mary Hospital in Langhorne. .

A 1971 graduate of Bensalem High School, Mr. Gavella learned the art of tree trimming while working for other services. More than six years ago, he started Gavella Tree Trimming Service in Oakford.

According to his mother, Marie Gavella, he loved the outdoors, especially skiing and scuba driving. "He had many friends and he would give you the shirt of his back," Mrs. Gavella said.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Gavella is survived by his wife, the former Deborah Danson; a daughter, Jacqueline; his father, John Sr., and two brothers, John "Jackie" Jr. and Domenic.

A Catholic prayer service took place yesterday at 11 a.m. at William Rowen Grant Funeral Home Inc., Street Road and Second Street Pike in Lower Southampton. Interment was private.
