Donald P. "Don" Hamilton

March 16, 1953 - February 15, 2024

Donald P. “Don” Hamilton, 70 of Highland, IL formerly of Troy, IL, born Monday, March 16, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA and passed away on Thursday, February, 15 2024 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital O’Fallon, IL.

Don was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Edwardsville, IL.  He was a 40 year member of the Troy and St. Jacob Lion Clubs.  He loved his family and friends and enjoyed the times spent together.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jenna Tadrynski; his parents, Ralph H. Sr. and Mary (nee Lybas) Hamilton.

Surviving are his wife, Janey (nee Hotz) Hamilton whom he married April 14, 1981 in Shillington, PA; his sons, Bryan (Tanya) Hamilton of Troy, IL, Nicholas (Bianca) Tadrynski  of Edwards CO, W. Jeffrey (Suzane) Moorman of Monroe, WI,; daughters, Debra Lainez, Kansas City, KS, Laura (Brian) Crowley of Hillsborough, NJ and Amy Moorman of Bridgeton, MO; 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; his brother, Ralph Hamilton Jr. and his sister, Gladys (William) Hatton; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Visitation for Don will be 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL. Troy and St. Jacob Lions walk through at 6:30 pm.

Services will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, February 22 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL with Fr. Jeffrey Goeckner officiating.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
