David's obituary
David James Moser Jr., age 71, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, in Philadelphia, PA, after a prolonged and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Bensalem, PA, on October 5, 1954, David was the eldest of ten children born to Shirley and David Moser Sr. From an early age, he embraced responsibility, hard work, and a deep devotion to his family—qualities that would define him throughout his life.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, David served his country with honor and had the opportunity to travel abroad to Germany. Upon returning home, life led him to his greatest blessing—meeting his future wife, Karen. The two married in December 1977 and went on to share 48 years of unwavering love, partnership, and joy.
David built a remarkable life centered around family, craftsmanship, and the simple pleasures he loved most. A skilled master carpenter, he poured his talent, intelligence, and creativity into every project he touched. Outside of work, he found peace on the water as an avid fisherman and cherished the camaraderie of a good game of golf. Quick-witted, funny, determined, and full of grit, David had a special gift for lifting spirits and creating moments of laughter, even in challenging times.
He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a deeply loving grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen; his children Janet (John) Krisko and David (Colleen) Moser; and his treasured grandchildren Jack, Luke, Eli, David, Peter, Samuel, Joseph, and Lily.
David is also survived by his siblings Kevin (Ann) Moser, Thomas (Tracy) Moser, Catherine (David) Ciambella, Daniel Moser, and Lawrence Moser, as well as many nieces and nephews who adored him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Shirley Moser, and his siblings Patricia, Joseph, Brian, and Jean Wooley.
A memorial luncheon to celebrate David’s life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Knights of Columbus (next to three monkeys) 9617 James st Philadelphia, PA 19114. The memorial will be from 12-4pm. The family will hold a private interment.
David’s legacy of love, strength, craftsmanship, and humor will live on in all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed.
