Joseph Pianka

Joseph S. Pianka, Jr., 68, of Brecknock Township, passed away April 27, 2022, at 12:58 PM in the ER at Penn State Health- St. Joseph. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Joseph S. Pianka, Sr. and Mildred D. (Broadwater) Pianka. Joe was the owner/ operator of Joseph Pianka Excavation for 41 years, finally retiring in 2019. He was a 1972 graduate of Bensalem High School. He enjoyed collecting cars and was a member of a Mustang Car Club. His passions were fishing, boating, motorcycles, archeology, gardening, and nature. He lived for the outdoors. Although he enjoyed going “hunting,” he never shot anything. Joe loved being with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his partner-in-life – Eileen T. (Robinson) Pianka, Temecula, CA, his children – Elizabeth Pianka, San Diego, CA, Joseph A. Pianka, III, Sinking Spring, Jacqueline Crammer (wife of Derek Crammer), Shillington, his siblings – Debora Pianka Murphy, Baltimore, MD, Nancy Shear, Phila, Steven Pianka, Bucks County, Joyce Pianka Myers, Wernersville, John Pianka, Mohnton, and his grandchildren – Rhiannon M. Crammer, Clayton M. Stauffer, and 2 additional grandchildren on the way. Please join the Pianka family on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 27 Dawson Drive, Mohnton (Brecknock Twp.), beginning at 11:00 AM to celebrate the life of Joseph S. Pianka, Jr. Casual attire would be recommended as services will be held outdoors. Joe had a soft spot in his heart for animals.
