Alveinna Woods (Brown)

Obituary for Alveinna Iona Brown

Alveinna Iona Brown was born on January 7, 1956 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Florence and Clarence Woods. She was the youngest of 5 siblings and lived with her family in Trevose, PA during her childhood. She graduated from Bensalem High School in 1973 and went on to obtain an associate's degree from Bucks County Community College. In 1987, she married the love of her life, Raymond Brown, at their home in Bristol, PA where they were already raising their 3 daughters: Nikita, Latrice and Serena.

She worked at Qualex in the 1980s as a film developer for several years and then at K-Mart Warehouse as a picker/packer until she retired. In her later years, she volunteered as an usher at concert venues in the Philadelphia area. Alveinna was a devout Jehovah's Witness and attended the Bristol, Hindi and Neshaminy Valley congregations. She enjoyed serving in the field ministry as a Pioneer and witnessing to others in the English and Hindi languages.

As a young adult, she took pride in her artistic abilities and downtime was spent drawing and creating string art pieces. She was also an avid 10 speed bike rider and took occasional long rides to Atlantic City. Later, traveling and attending concerts, jazz shows and jazz cruises became her passions. She was a Dallas Cowboys football fan and during rival games, she loved to taunt her family who are Eagles fans. When she became confined to her home, she delighted in watching games shows, the food network and house makeover shows.

On August 7, 2023, at age 67, she passed at Wesley Enhanced Living Facility in Philadelphia where she was residing due to her physical disabilities. She leaves behind the following to celebrate her life: (Spouse) Raymond Brown; (Children) Nikita Brown, Latrice Brown, Serena Brown-Sutton (Quinton); (Grandchildren) Tymere Franklin, Terez Franklin, Destiny Rogers, Quasir Sutton, Kamora Sutton, Kymani Sutton, Savyon Sutton; (Siblings) Arthur Woods, Alvin Woods; (Aunt) Hazel Laverne Norris; (Sisters-in-law) Betty Jenkins, Margaret Chester, Rachel Burch, Stephanie Annette Burch, Lisa Mae Brownlee (Dwight), Pamela Galloway; (Brothers-in-Law) Stanley Thomas Burch (Janice), Levi Brown, Clinton S.
