Michael A. Salley Obituary
Michael A. Salley
March 31, 1955 – January 13, 2026
Michael A. Salley, 70, passed away suddenly on January 13, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 31, 1955, to the late Charles F. Salley Jr. and Anne Drtizio Salley, Michael lived a life filled with love, dedication, and quiet strength. A lifelong Philadelphian at heart, he was a huge, passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers, Phillies, and Sixers—cheering them on through every season with unwavering loyalty and enthusiasm.
He will be remembered for the deep bonds he formed with his family and the warmth he brought to every moment shared.
He was happily married to Karen (Schrock) Salley for over 10 years, a union built on companionship, mutual support, and countless cherished memories. Michael greatly enjoyed the company of Karen’s daughters and their families, welcoming them warmly into his life and heart, and treasuring the extended family gatherings, laughter, and special moments they shared together.
Michael is survived by his two beloved daughters: Jennifer McDermott (Frank) and Jessica Miles (Brad), who were the greatest joys of his life. He was an adored grandfather to six wonderful grandchildren—Natalie, Alexandra, Sofia, Greyson, Brendan, and Zachary—who filled his days with laughter, adventure, and boundless pride.
He is also survived by his brothers: John (Donna) Salley and Jimmy (Darlene) Salley.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Salley Jr., his mother, Anne Drtizio Salley, his brother, Charles F. Salley III, and his sister, Margaret.
Michael's sudden departure leaves a profound emptiness, yet his legacy of unwavering love, kindness, devotion to family, and fierce team spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives he touched.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests honoring Michael's memory by holding loved ones close, sharing stories, living each day with the same love and presence he so generously gave, or perhaps catching a game in his honor.
May Michael rest in eternal peace, forever surrounded by the light he brought to the world.
