Karen Tranausky (Bound) Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Karen Tranausky, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who left us peacefully on August 18, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on July 15, 1955, to the late Joseph and Sophie (nee Sawicki) Bound, Karen was a lifelong resident of Bensalem, PA, where she cultivated deep roots in her community, always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Karen graduated as valedictorian of her class at Bensalem High School, a testament to her dedication and hard work. She spent many years as a receptionist at Bound Beverage, where her warmth and kindness made her a cherished part of the team. Beyond her professional life, Karen was known for her generous spirit. She volunteered for the Special Olympics, demonstrating her unwavering support for individuals with disabilities, and was also a frequent blood donor, contributing to the health and well-being of countless lives.

A proud Lifeguard at the YMCA in her younger years, Karen was passionate about nurturing the next generation. She was a devoted Phillies fan, her enthusiasm for the team matched only by her love for attending sporting events featuring her sons and grandchildren. Karen's family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in cheering on Joseph and Chas, as well as her grandchildren, Emma and Kelby, at their various activities.

Karen is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Tranausky; her sons, Joseph and Chas Tranausky; grandchildren Emma and Kelby; sisters Dori Brenenborg and Darlene Woodward; and brother Joseph Bound (the late Barbara). She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, kindness, and an unyielding support for her family and community. Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Donald J. Bound.

Further details regarding the memorial services will be shared shortly, inviting all who knew and loved her to celebrate the beautiful spirit of Karen Tranausky.

In this time of sorrow, let us remember Karen not only for her achievements but for her incredible heart that touched so many. She will be deeply missed and eternally remembered.
