Karen Ann Niland
August 28, 1956 — January 8, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Karen Ann Niland, a beloved mother, sister, and cherished member of the community, who departed this life on January 8, 2026, at the age of 69. Born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Joseph William Sr. and Mary (nee O’Gorman) Niland, Karen was a proud lifelong resident of Pennsylvania, most recently residing in Bensalem.
Karen dedicated many years of her professional life as a Service Manager with the IRS, where her commitment and service to her community were evident. Outside of her career, she was an active volunteer at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, where she contributed as a CCD teacher and passionately organized fundraising events and community gatherings, reflecting her generous spirit.
A dedicated mother, Karen found great joy in nurturing her daughter, Krista Bilbee, and was an exuberant supporter as a Dance Mom, creating cherished memories through her daughter's dancing journey. Her love for travel took her around the world, where she sought adventure and connection, sharing stories of her experiences on countless cruises and trips with friends and family.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Krista Bilbee, and her sister, Kim Niland, both of whom will forever hold her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her brother Joseph W. Niland Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to be made to community charities in her memory, as a tribute to the many ways she touched the lives of others.
Karen Ann Niland will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for her bright spirit, unwavering kindness, and the profound impact she made on those around her.
Services and interment will be private. www.tomlinsonfh.com
