In Memory

Jayne Monge - Class Of 1979

Jayne Monge

Jayne Belen Monge-Campbell

AUGUST 29, 1961 – JULY 18, 2021

Jayne Belen Monge-Campbell, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2021 at her home in Gladys, Virginia.

Jayne was born August 29, 1961 in the Flushing neighborhood of Queens, New York. She was the daughter of the late Enrique “Henry” Monge and Florence Louise (Case) Monge. Jayne grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and graduated from Bensalem High School in 1979. Jayne moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina in 2003; to Danville, Virginia in 2011; and to the Lynchburg City / Campbell County area in 2017, leaving behind precious friendships and memories at each place.

Jayne had a passion for nature and serving others and was able to use those skills in the places she worked including the restaurant industry, retail, landscaping, and the medical field. When Jayne’s failing health, including a gallant battle with breast cancer in the mid-2000’s, required her to leave the workforce, she was able to find pleasure and comfort in being outside and tending to her plants.

Jayne’s most remembered gift is her pure and unconditional love for her daughter Felecia Noel.

She is survived by her daughter, Felecia Noel Campbell; one brother, George Monge and his wife Vanji; and her sister-in-law, Kathleen Monge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Mark Henry Monge.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on August 28 at Fairview United Methodist Church in Danville, Virginia.

Noel would like to thank Whitten Timberlake Chapel for their wonderful guidance and support during this difficult time.
