Obituary for Annemarie Sheldon

Annemarie Sheldon (formerly Annemarie Eastburn) of Mount Holly, NJ passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, after fighting a year and a three month long courageous battle at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia following her admission in November of 2022 and a double lung transplant on January 5, 2023. She was 62 years old.

Born in Bristol, PA, Annemarie was a longtime area resident and graduate of the Bensalem Highschool Class of 1979. Annemarie was a hospice nurse for many years with Moorestown Visiting Nurses and other agencies and is best remembered for her loving and caring nature, and going above and beyond her call of duty to make her patients feel loved for, cared for, and at peace during their most trying times. Annemarie’s selflessness and giving nature carried over into her family life where she was best known for having a loving, warm, and open home where everyone, including friends, always felt like family. Annemarie will be best remembered for her selfless nature, kindness, generosity, sense of humor, love for Tinkerbell, Cinderella, dragonflies, the color purple, and Tiffany’s Jewelry, her incredible cooking, her bright light, vibrant energy, and the amount of fun and joy she put into the lives of everyone she knew. Annemarie was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed traveling to the Daytona 500 every year with her husband Joe Kerlin, taking annual trips to Disney World, Hershey Park, and Great Wolf Lodge with her grandchildren, Emma and Maverick, spending time at the Jersey Shore and Seaside boardwalk (The Sawmill), as well as watching her son Bobby play and coach baseball, and was most proud of him earning the title of United States Marine and serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Annemarie was the loving wife of Joseph Kerlin, loving mother of Bobby Raditz and his wife Erika Raditz, and dearly loved “Anma” to her two precious grandchildren Emma Raditz and Maverick Raditz. Annemarie is survived by her father Timothy Eastburn, two brothers Timothy Eastburn Jr. and Patrick Eastburn, sister Heather Champion, Sister-in Law Vera Chaney, Brother-in-Law Russell Kerlin, Aunt Barb Eastburn, Uncle Dick Eastburn, Cousin Marilyn Beyer, and Nieces and Nephews Noelle Beyer, Jacquelyn Humes, Robin Kerlin, Delaney Champion, Carter Champion, and Vann Amati as well as several other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A white dogwood tree will be planted in Annemarie’s memory at her son’s residence in Southampton, NJ per her request.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family so that a group donation may be made in her memory to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Lung Transplant Team in Annemarie’s name to commemorate her courageous battle, fearless fight, and unwavering strength. Please contact Joe or Bobby directly.

We ask that you always carry Annemarie’s memory in your heart and remember to “have courage and be kind.” – Cinderella
