Kenneth Paul Gerner

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kenneth Paul Gerner, age 64, on October 3, 2025, in Hatboro, Pennsylvania. Born on October 3, 1961, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Samuel Joseph and Eleanor A. (nee Williams) Gerner, Kenneth lived a life filled with passion and enthusiasm, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the pleasure of knowing him. 

Kenneth worked at Prudential as a Data Processor, earning respect for his strong work ethic. He built many friendships and enjoyed activities like softball and bowling during his time there.

During his leisure hours, Kenneth was a dedicated supporter of Philadelphia sports teams, including the Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers. Outside of spectating sporting events, he valued time spent fishing with his daughter.

These pastimes were important to him as they fostered meaningful connections with family and created lasting memories. He is remembered for his positive spirit and unwavering support for those around him.

Kenneth is survived by his devoted daughter, Holly Barreto; his cherished grandchild, Harley Boyer; his beloved siblings, Gary Gerner (Elaine), Frederick Gerner (Jeri), Ellen Petty (the late James), and Jane Myers (Harold), as well as his loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews, and his grand dog, Thor. Each of these relationships added richness to his life, and they will hold him in their hearts forever. Kenneth was preceded in death by his siblings, Geraldine Plunkett and Samuel Joseph Gerner Jr. 

Kenneth Paul Gerner’s journey may have concluded, but his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved him. May he rest in peace.
