BELLVILLE ~ Unlike so many others, Fran Kvochick never wanted people to feel sorry for her. A very private woman, she disliked pity, or even a discussion of her impairments. Diagnosed with cystic fibrosis as an infant, she was determined to live life to its fullest, never give up and always keep smiling.

Fran passed away Thursday morning November 26, 2009 in the emergency room of MedCentral Hospital from complications of her cystic fibrosis. She was 45.

Born December 2, 1963 in Columbus, she was the only daughter of Francis L. “Bud” and Grace E. (Vonville) Fisher.

After moving to the Bellville area as a child, she later met Charles E. Kvochick, and they eloped to Clintwood, Virginia and were married September 28, 1981. After his tour with the military, they returned to Bellville.

Fran had a soft spot in her heart for animals ~ and they sensed it, loving her in return. She rescued countless dogs and cats, most of them abandoned, and gave them a loving home, but she cherished Quarter Horses. As productionists, she and Charles bred, trained, broke and sold Quarter Horses, stabling two stallions and numerous broodmares on their rural Bellville home.

As a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Fran formerly showed her prize-winning horses throughout the state. She even earned “High Point” status with the Ohio Quarter Pony Association.

Fran had most recently worked as secretary with METRICH, but focused her time on her family. She enjoyed fishing Kokosing Lake, and motorcycle rides on the back of Charles’ Yamaha Midnight Venture.

She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit #535, and went camping anytime she could.

Described as generous and giving, Fran had a lot of love in her heart, and loved to share with others through her baking ~ her peanut blossom cookies were a family favorite. Fran continues to give, through organ and tissue donation she perpetuates life. She donated her lung tissues for research and advancement for a cure for cystic fibrosis.

In addition to her husband Charles, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Charles, II and Jeannette Kvochick of Mansfield; her parents Bud and Grace Fisher of Bellville; her father-in-law and his wife Ray & Marlene Kvochick of Loudonville; aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Bellville Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Kvochick family with services at their convenience.

They request contributions in her memory be made to Lewis H. Walker, M.D. Cystic Fibrosis Center at Akron Children's Hospital, and made through the funeral home.
