Good morning,

It is with a very heavy heart that I share with you that Eric passed away yesterday afternoon. As you know Eric entered hospice care 3 months ago. Monday morning he had an elevated heart rate and a fever and they were conducting tests to try and find the source of infection. His very sweet nurse told me he was getting a lot of love and attention on Tuesday morning. She said she left the room for some supplies and when she returned he was gone. He passed very peacefully in his sleep. It was always my hope that he would not be in pain.

I am sharing my last picture of him and how I picture him now, free and playing baseball.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers over the last 10 1/2 months.
