David C. Worthington

David C. “Bones” Worthington of Bensalem passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at Holy Redeemer Hospice, Meadowbrook, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 54. Born in Abington, David was a lifelong resident of Bensalem. He was employed as a diesel mechanic for many years working for Mawson & Mawson and Yard Truck Specialists. He also worked for Wawa, Inc. David was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers fan. David will be sadly missed by his son, David Ryan Worthington and his mother, Beatrice; his parents, Alan C. and Cynthia R. (Stones) Worthington; and his siblings, Alan C. Worthington Jr., Barbara J. Wiley (David) and Judy Worthington. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 1 p.m. until his memorial service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020. Interment will be held privately. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to CHOP, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, 34th and Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104.
