DUDLEY, Mass. - Robert 'Bob'Wayne Watson, 57, of Dudley, Mass., beloved husband of Robin Otto Watson and devoted father of Kaitlin Joy Watson, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, after a long courageous battle with adenocarcinoma, at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester with his wife and daughter at his side.

Bob and Robin were married Oct. 24, 1987, and had an early celebration of their 25th anniversary. Their daughter Kaitlin was the joy of his life. He was immensely proud of the young lady she is. Bob graduated from Bensalem High School, Cornwells Heights, Pa. in 1972, where he lettered in six varsity sports. Known as Marcus, he had a strong interest in medicine and was an EMT many years ago. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in November 1972. After basic training in Jacksonville, Fla., he was trained as an Electronics Technician (RADAR) in Great Lakes, Ill. He served aboard the U.S.S. Bob had a unique sense of humor that he shared with Kaitlin. His work ethic was extraordinary. He was passionate about politics, finance and investing, golf, the Red Sox, and the Patriots. Most of all, he loved traveling with his family to Turks and Caicos, Los Cabos, California, Arizona, and Florida.

Bob,

You are one of the brightest guys I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.  You always had a kind word for me in high school. You were an inspirational scholar and athelete, and had lots of reasons to brag, but you were always humble. I am happy that you built a great life, and I wish we had kept in touch.  Rest in peace, my long-ago friend.

Sandy

My sympathy.  I did not know Bob personally, but have heard how kind hearted and "brilliant" he was.  It is my understanding he was a true inspiration to others.  So young to leave us behind.
