Mary Elizabeth Johnston Diehl

1954 - 2022

Mary Elizabeth Johnston Diehl, 67 of Huddleston passed away October 2, 2022 at her beloved farm in Huddleston Virginia.

Mary was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy McAndrews Johnston.  Mary is also preceded in death by her husbands, William Diehl, James Lamont, her granddaughter, Victoria Diehl, her sister, Dorothy Swavely and special friend, Buddy Crouch.

Mary attended Bensalem High School.  She drove a school bus for Neshaminy School’s in Pennsylvania and eventually moved to Virginia to pursue her happiness 
of hobby farming and continuously helping friends.

Mary’s survivors include her children, William Diehl & wife, Jennifer Diehl and Daniel & wife, Kimberly Diehl; her step children Jimmy, Sharon Gina, Max and Linzy; her siblings, Thomas Johnston, Raymond Johnston, George Johnston, Elizabeth Langlois and her grandchildren, Gracie, Kelsey, Cameron, Christian (Junior). 

As everyone knows, Mary loved to travel and see new things so please take a trip and bring her memories with you let’s show her everything.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to everybody that made Mary who she was.

There will be two celebration of life services, one in Pennsylvania and one in Virginia.  Please contact the family for information.
