Obituary

Patricia A. (Given) Berg of Bensalem passed away Saturday August 17, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 94 years old. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Emily (Seacrest) and Raymond Given and was a resident of Bensalem for the past 59 years. Patricia was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1948. She worked as a teacher aide and later as an attendance aide for the Bensalem School District for 15 years.

Patricia, a proud member of Newport Community Church choir. Her love for music was only rivaled by her joy for ballroom and square dancing in later years. In her free time, she was a member of the Newportville Historical Society, treasuring each moment shared with her community. Those who knew Patricia understood her passion for travel and the cherished family trips to Long Beach Island.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Richard Berg. She will be deeply missed by her loving children, James R. Berg (Linda) and Sharon Wright (Ron). Patricia is also survived by her brother, Raymond Given; Her grandchildren, James Berg (Misty) and Amber Munchback (Andrew); Her six great grandchildren, Christopher, Shaye (Jake), Reganne, Jimmy, George and Tabita and one great-great granddaughter, Zoey. Patricia was also preceded in death by her son, David M Berg; her siblings, Mary Jane Baum and Robert Given and her longtime companion, Alfred Scholz.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Friday August 23, 2024, from 1 to 2 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by her service at 2 PM. Interment will be private.
