Obituary of Walter Charles O'Hara Jr.
Walter Charles O’Hara Jr., 72, of Sweet Valley, on Tuesday, August 27,2024, mounted a heavenly Harley and left on his journey into heaven. Born in Bristol, Pa, on March 23, 1952, Walter was one of three children of the late Walter Sr. and Thelma Miller O’Hara. Walter grew up in Croydon and attended local schools. He attended Bensalem High School, but he left before graduating to help at his father’s tire business. Walter was a hard-working truck driver all his life. He enjoyed driving his Mack, Peterbilt, and his Yuke dump truck. You could have found Walter behind the wheel at the American Asphalt Quarry or at the Benton Foundry. This man was indestructible like the Terminator. Even after a life changing accident and a few new metal body parts, Walter was back at it. You could find him rolling through the hills in Sweet Valley on his Harley enjoying a ride. He was a spiritual man that embraced his culture and respected his native pow wow gatherings. At his core, Walter was a loving brother, father and grandfather to his family. He did what he could for everyone. He was also a loving dog owner to his three faithful companions Sadie, Dixie, and Patches. He has gone from our sight but not from our hearts. If you hear a Harley rolling up on you during your travels, it might be Walter just checking in on you. We love you dad, and we will see you again. Safe travels, your loving family. Walter now joins in heaven his loving parents Walter Sr. and Thelma. Surviving to mourn his homegoing are his son Walter O’Hara III, Bristol; daughters Amanda O’Hara and her husband Michael Hooper, Williamsport; Erin Yordan and her husband Kevin, Hazelton; Kimberly Dawn O’Hara and her fiancé Daniel Pena, Hazelton; grandchildren Connor; Evan; Liam; Logan; Delaney; Aspen; Kailey; Sarah; Irie; Kayden, Kevin Jr.; brother William (Bill) O’Hara and his wife Donna, Philadelphia; sister Donna O’Hara, Philadelphia, and his faithful companions Sadie, Dixie, and Patches. At this time, services will be held privately at the convenience of his family and placed in the care of the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Twp.
