In Memory
Anthony W. Carapella, Jr., of Langhorne, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 71. Tony, as he was lovingly known to family and friends, was born in Philadelphia on April 21, 1954, to the late Anthony W. Carapella, Sr. and the late Dolores M. (née Burke) Carapella. A man truly larger than life, Tony lived with passion, humor, and an unmistakable presence that filled every room he entered.
Tony graduated from Bensalem High School and built his career through hard work, determination, and family tradition. He worked in various jobs, most often alongside his father—affectionately known as “the old man”—in the construction industry, where he learned the value of grit, reliability, and pride in one’s work. In 1985, Tony fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening his own business. He spent the next 40 years building and leading Carapella Enterprises, Inc., serving as its President until his retirement just a few months ago.
Through his leadership role, Tony managed the inspection and swift delivery of imported fruits to supermarkets nationwide. He took great pride in his work and was widely respected throughout the industry. Over the years, he employed many family members and friends, creating not just jobs but a sense of loyalty and community. He was truly loved by so many within the business, leaving a lasting professional legacy defined by integrity, dedication, and generosity. Tony was the devoted husband of Rhonda A. (née Richmond) Carapella, with whom he shared a life filled with love, partnership, and countless memories. Together, they raised a family that was the pride and joy of his life. He is survived by his beloved children, Christy M. Naselli (Francis A., Sr.) and Anthony W. Carapella, III. Nothing meant more to Tony than his role as a father and grandfather. He is survived by his cherished grandchildren: Carly Pugliese (Tyler), Francis A. Naselli, Jr. (Jennifer), Isabella Martino (Nicholas), Joseph Naselli (Katie), Olivia Carapella, Autumn Rodriguez, Avery Carapella, and Eden Carapella, as well as an expected great-granddaughter who brought him immense joy and anticipation.
Outside of work, Tony embraced life fully. He had a deep appreciation for good wine, his favorite restaurants, and the lively conversations shared with bartenders who often became trusted friends. He was an avid racing enthusiast who loved owning racehorses and playing the ponies, always drawn to the thrill and strategy of the sport.
A lifelong sports fan, Tony proudly collected signed sports memorabilia, each piece telling a story and reflecting his loyalty and enthusiasm. One of his greatest passions was his beloved 1968 Corvette—a symbol of his style, confidence, and appreciation for classic excellence. Above all else, Tony treasured time spent with family and friends. His generosity, storytelling, and unmistakable laugh created memories that will be shared for generations. His legacy is one of love, laughter, hard work, and living life to the fullest.
In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by his brother, Rev. Thomas Carapella, TOR. He is survived by his siblings: Daniel Carapella (Maria), John Carapella, Dolores Slabicki (Tom), and Robert Carapella and nieces and nephews whom he loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to Tony’s Life Celebration at the John F.
