Obituary

Frank F. Harper, Jr., age 86 of Levittown, PA was called into the arms of his Lord on Monday, September 17, 2023.  Born in Philadelphia, Frank was raised in Cornwells Heights, PA and lived in Levittown since 1961.

A graduate of Bensalem High School, he was employed as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service for 38 years.  Frank was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force and was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church in Fairless Hills.  He was instrumental in founding Straightway Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, NJ.  An avid golfer and member of Northampton Country Club, Frank was an avid fan of the Phillies and Eagles.

Son of the late Frank F. Sr. and Florence (Hulme) Harper and brother of the late Joan Harper Heupel and Peg Harper Bobi, he is survived by his loving wife Laura (Weith) Harper, five children Pam Harper-Hughes (John Hughes) of Kitty Hawk, NC, Gary (Ruthe) Harper of Brigantine, NJ, Phillip Harper of Perkasie, PA, Stephen (Sharon) Harper of Levittown, PA and Jennifer (Matthew) Andrews of Macungie, PA, a sister Dorothy McCafferty of Virginia Beach, VA, a brother and sister-in-law William and Lucy Harper of Kingston, NJ, 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11 AM on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Straightway Baptist Church, 680 Whitehead Rd., Lawrence, NJ  08648f.  His interment with military honors will be held at 10 AM on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA  18940.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions, in Frank’s name, be made to Straightway Baptist Church. (Please write Harper/Missions on the bottom of the check).  Donations may be mailed to the church at the address above.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA.
