Leo J. 'Lee' Barthold

Leo (Lee) J. Barthold of Phoenixville, Pa., formerly of Doylestown, died Sunday, July 24, 2011. He was 71.

He was the loving husband of 44 years to Nancy (O'Donnell); beloved father of Karen Pilewski and husband, Ben, Michael and wife, Dana (Salamone), and Jean Varano; grandfather of Isabella, Colin and Eve; brother of Melanie Sullivan and Helene Bukenas and husband, Leonard; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A 1970 graduate of Drexel University, he was the recipient on the Drexel Alumni's Man of the Year Award (1975, 1980).

Mr. Barthold was retired from Smiths Industries, Malvern, Pa., and was previously employed by Ametek US Gauge, Sellersville.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Lee's life from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, PA, 18901, immediately followed by his funeral mass. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
